Taron JL Camera and Case
c. 1955A black and silver camera with a black leather case which has a long strap. The case is attached to the camera at the base of the case with a screw which screws into the base of the camera.
On the top of the camera on the left is the film rewinder, a slot for a flash, a dial to indicate the type of film, a push button to take the picture and a lever to move the film forwards after taking a picture.
On the left hand side of the camera is a metal lever which slides up and opens the back of the camera.
The case front is attached to the case body via three press studs at the back and two underneath the case.

On the front of the camera to the left of the viewfinder window on a black background in two lines of gold lettering is "TARON", "JL". On the front of the camera on a black metal plate to the left of the lens body in gold lettering is "TARON CO. LTD."
On the lens surrounds on a black background and in white lettering is "TARON CO., LTD. JAPAN TARONAR", in red lettering is "F.C.", followed by in white lettering "1:28 40 mm"
On the back of the camera on the metal is etched "J 27566". On the base of the camera on the metal is etched "MADE IN JAPAN".
Embossed on the front of the case is "TARON".
