Australian Junior Red Cross armband

Overview

Australian Junior Red Cross armband issued as a form of identification for members during events or activities. It is made from blue fabric with white cotton stitching securing the folded over edges.
There is a central motif of a Red Cross with a white border surrounded by the words 'Australian Junior Red Cross' printed in white. Below this is a white outline of a scroll. A small safety pin is attached to the left end of the armband for attachment.
The back is plain with just the thin edge of turned over fabric showing.

Historical information

This armband came with the Junior Red Cross certificate, so may date from the same time in the mid 1950s.
