Cine Kodak Eight Camera
c. 1932 - 1940A slim black rectangular movie camera. The metal handle folds up and down, the viewfinders are built into the ends of the handle. You look through the circular one at the end and through the front viewfinder. On the right hand side of the camera is a silver button to rewind the film, there is a black handle for moving the film forward when filming. On the left side of the camera is a sliding button which opens the camera to remove the film. On the bottom of the camera is a screw for a tripod stand.
The camera takes a 8 mm film.

Underneath the handle on a black plate in five lines of silver coloured lettering is "CINE - KODAK EIGHT", "MODEL 20", "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN", "BY", "KODAK LIMITED LONDON".
Underneath the lens on a black plate in eight lines of silver coloured lettering is "460666", "Dark Days"", "or in Shade", "on Bright Days", "Dark or in Deep Shade", "Very Dull or in Shade", "Dull or in Open Shade", "Bright Days", "Slightly Cloudy", "Direct Sunlight", "Intensely Bright", "See Manual".
'On the left hand side is a silver slide button, etched in front of it is "OPEN", behind is "CLOSE".
On the right hand side of the camera on the black metal handle is etched "M7269"
