Akarex Camera and Case
c. 1954 - 1955A brown hard leather case which encompasses a black and silver camera. There are two metal knobs on the base of the case which screw into the base of the camera and which hold the camera in the case. On the left hand side of the camera there are two silver buttons which when pressed towards each other open the back of the camera. On the top of the camera on the right is a silver button to press to take a picture and a silver lever to wind the film onwards after the picture is taken. On the left is a silver round button to pull up when removing or inserting film.

Details
On the front of the camera case is embossed a shield shape with a wavy pattern at the top and then the word "AKAREX" is embossed across the centre of the shield.
On the front of the camera at the bottom left side is a silver plaque and in two lines of black etched lettering is "AKA", "REX".
On the back of the camera etched on a centre screw is "MADE IN GERMANY".
Around the lens in white lettering is "WESTAR 1:35/45 275763 ISCO-GOTTINGEN"
Inside the back of the camera is embossed "78447".
