Hanimex Compact R Camera
c. 1972A black and silver camera with a soft leather case which encases the camera. On the top of the camera on the left is silver knob in which the middle section lifts up and allows the film to be rewound and then is pulled upwards to open the back of the camera. In the centre is a fitting for a flash and on the right is a silver button to press to take a picture and then there is a lever to push to the right to wind the film onwards. The camera has a plastic lens cap. Two metal latches on the side to attach to a leather strap. On the base of the camera is a screw hole to allow the camera to be attached to a tripod.

In silver embossed lettering on black background is "HANIMEX", "COMPACT R".
On the lens black background, embossed white lettering is "HANIMAR", "1:2.8 140 MM", "DIN" (red) "ASA" green.
On the back embossed on a smooth section of the leather is "05 805566" and underneath is "TAIWAN".
