c. 1915Postcard with embossed border and silk embroidered envelope containing small card. Decorated on front with the sentiment “To my dear Sweetheart” in cotton stitching. Also in stitching is a picture of the Union Jack and various decorative patterns and flowers. Short note on reverse handwritten in pencil.
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War to send home from the military front to family as a means of keeping in touch.
