FILET CROCHET, BODICE
A typical example of women’s underwear of the late 19th and early 20th century.
The top of this camisole is constructed of a filet crochet band forming sleeve and neckline. The remainder of the bodice is fine cotton lawn with a drawstring waistband and attached peplum. The front of the bodice has pintucks in groups of three either side of the front opening which has cotton covered buttons and handstitched buttonholes.
