GENERAL EMBROIDERY, TABLE CENTRE
An example of traditional Hungarian embroidery by the Matyo people of northern Hungary. The mat appears to be a table centre of black cotton with traditional Hungarian floral motifs in bright colours The colours of the flower motifs are repeated in the long fringes on the edge of the centre square.
