LACE, BOBBIN, TORCHON, UNDERPANTS
A typical example of Bloomers or pantaloons which are a significant item of women’s underwear of the late 19th and early 20th century.
These full white cotton bloomers are gathered on to a 40mm waistband with openings each side with handstitched
Buttonholes (no buttons). The crotch is joined. The edge of each full leg has a Torchon lace band measuring 60mm. The initials “EP” Embroidered on the waistband relate to Elizabeth Price (1853 – 1933).
