Overview

This unusual Penelope kit for a teacloth depicts a pictorial map of central London featuring many major landmarks with the Westminster Coat of Arms in each corner. A patriotic novelty design for a teacloth - a conversation starter.
The teacloth (a) is a Penelope Art Needlework' design called 'Royal London'. It has a simple roadmap in the centre of the cloth showing the street names, the River Thames and motifs representing major buildings and attractions of Central London. Each corner has the Westminster Coat of Arms featuring a golden lion either side of a shield lo\inked by a scroll featuring a central Tudor rose with Thistle, Shamrock and Daffodil representing the four countries of the United Kingdom and the Latin motto 'Custodi Civitatem Domine' Guard the City oh Lord.
