A small black & white photo of a very flooded Avon River & Newcastle Bridge, to Bolgart, taken from the town side.
Power poles are one third under water as are some fence posts.
Two children are riding their bicycles through a shallow area.

Historical information

Floods were reported in newspapers in 1953, but not in 1952, so suspect the correct date is 1953.
