c. 1907A sepia photograph of Austral terrace, Katanning, looking North. The foreground building is a two storey building which has a wooden balcony and ground posts and at the very top of the building is a cement façade which reads "AUSTRAL BUILDING" followed by "1907" followed by "AUSTRAL BUILDING". The businesses in the building include "Austral Cafe" and "W.P. Bird Tailor". There are two men in the street talking, one is holding a bicycle and there is a lady setting the table in the cafe.

On the front of the postcard in in white lettering at the bottom is "Austral Terrace, Katanning, looking North".
On the back of the postcard printed in brown lettering is “POST CARD” and below this line the card has two columns and above the right hand column is the heading 'ADDRESS ONLY”. In the top right hand corner is a square with the words “AFFIX STAMP” inside to affix a stamp.
On the back of the postcard along the left hand vertical side of the postcard is “Printed in Saxony”.
