Below the photograph on the front of the postcard in black typed lettering is "Katanning, W. Australia".

On the back of the postcard is handwritten in pencil is "1911" and in red ink is "Turntable to train trucks to Mill".

On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line is "THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE WRITE HERE INLAND ONLY".
