An article on the festivities for the opening of the Rechabite Hall, Katanning.
Rechabite Hall
c. 1911A sepia photograph of a brick building which has a smaller square portico. There is a chimney at the left back of the building, it has a curved façade and there are finals on the front corners of the building and on the centre façade and portico. Around the building is bare, however there are some buildings further in the background. On the façade is "I.O.R." and below this is "RECHABITE HALL".
The hall was formally opened on the 13th June 1906

On the back of the postcard handwritten in blue ink is "early 1900's".
On the back of the postcard is printed in green lettering "POST" and then a circular emblem which has the word "EMPIRE" at the top and then a lion and a Kangaroo either side of a camera on a stand. After the emblem is "CARD".
Below this line are two columns, the heading in the left column in green lettering is "FOR CORRESPONDENCE" and in the right column "FOR ADDRESS ONLY". In the top right hand corner is a square with the word "STAMP" inside.
