Clippers

Subcollections
Overview

A metal clipper with two blades and wooden handles.

Historical information

Clippers were used to cut the hair of the horse - particularly when presenting for show purposes. They were also used to cut the hair on the underbelly of the horse to avoid the build up of grass seeds. The clippers are manually operated by opening and closing the wooden handles at the same time as moving the clippers along the area to be trimmed.
