Curry Comb
An oval shaped plastic comb with a leather strap. Underneath there are three diminishing ovals of teeth. The teeth of the comb are plastic and so are more flexible and softer to groom the horse.
This plastic curry comb was used to groom the horse's coat, or mane and remove unwanted dust or grass seeds. As it is plastic it is more flexible and could be used on sensitive parts of the horse.
The groom would place his or her hand between the leather strap and the brush as a means of holding the brush while working the comb in a circular manner on the horse.
