Log Lifter
A single handled metal tool which is hinged in the middle. After the hinge there are two pieces of metal rod which are bent out and then back towards each other, the ends of each rod are sharpened into hooks. The handle has a neatly sewn animal skin covering, possibly kangaroo.
This tool was used to manually lift logs of wood. To use the tool is opened to grasp the log between the two ends and then closed around the log. When fully open the lifter is 30.9cm wide.
