LACE, BOBBIN, MALTESE, SHAWL
An example of a very long shawl/scarf of fine Maltese lace most probably from the late 19th C. It is constructed of ecru silk and has the unusual design feature of European flowers. It is comprised of two long strips of lace joined together. A circular edging has also been joined. There are some small areas where repairs have been made to the shawl.
