Overview

The original photograph was headed: 'A photograph of A.W. Newman's party, March 1895.' It features the men of the party with their tents and bundles (swags). Some are seated on camels, and a horse and a goat can also be seen. The structure at the extreme right of the image appears to be constructed of corrugated iron. The location is probably a base camp. On the mount under the image: 'Survey Party led by Aubrey W. Newman - March 1895'.
