Inscriptions and markings

At the top of the plaques is a metal scroll with the words "THE SPORTS SPECIALISTS PERPETUAL SHIELD" etched on the scroll.

From the top left small metal plaque is inscribed "Vincent Saunders 1965" and on the plaque below is "Michael Gianni 1969".
