Mrs Pott's Iron
c. 1890A metal oval shaped iron with curved ridges on the top of the iron. The handle is wooden in a half circle shape with a metal crossbar and wooden knob which when pulled up releases the clip underneath which holds the handle to the iron.
The iron was heated up on a hot stove and then used to iron clothes. The handle is removable and would fit other sixed irons.

Details
On the top of the iron embossed on one side is "MRS POTT'S" and on the other side is "IRON". Underneath the handle is embossed "No 1"
