White crested china bowl made in Subiaco by Wembley Ware, heavy duty utility ware. White bowl with RAAF crest on the front. Symbol of a crown atop a flying eagle.
Base: Trademarked 'Wembley Ware, Made in Australia' in blue with a blue crown and intertwined 'B&W'.
The first pottery on the Subiaco site was Calyx Pottery, 1921 - 1941, followed by Bristile. The company was re-named Australian Fine China in 1992 and will move from Subiaco to Canning Vale in 2006.
Owned by Mary Alice Beard owner occupier of house at 6 Union Street Subiaco. House purchased by Mrs Beard c1960
