William Eyres Bennet was the son of Henry Goulding Bennett who grew up on Waroonga Road, Nedlands. He attended Scotch College.
William married American Helen Curtis (c1891-1932). Was a dentist and a Claremont Councillor from 1922 -1926. Lived at Strathcona, 22 Victoria Parade (now Freshwater Parade), Claremont. Daughters Mary and Elizabeth.
