She is wearing a white fur hat over her dark, shoulder length hair and a fur- collared coat over a tucked dress with ruffle at the neck. (b) Head and shoulders portrait of Mabel Sawtell as a young woman. She is wearing a dark, round-necked, silky dress with a heavy oval brooch in the centre front. Her head-hugging hat features a large, light-coloured, feather trim. There is a faint line around her neck and outlining this trim.

Historical information

Mabel (Mabs) Sawtell lived in Bagot Road Subiaco with her mother. During WWI she received cards etc from Rex Liggi/Legge.
