Overview

Melville Glades ladies have traditionally conducted a ''dress-up'' day at the end of each golfing season. This set of six photographs show some of the outfits worn in 1974.

The outfits for each of the ladies is not specified, so it is up to your imagination to determine who, or what they depict. Identification of individuals was assisted by captions written onto the back (or front) of each photograph.

Left to right in each photograph:

1. Helen Bird, Lil Rowlands, Lettie Mackie, Lois Lively (garden in the background)

2. Meghan Holmes and the clubhouse in the background, Ruth Williamson (footy getup), Nena Katnic (partly obscured)

3. Fran Heath, Doris Robins, Esther James (naval uniforms?)

4. Unknown, Thelma Day

5. Esme Horry (later Wildy), Anne Corsie, Ruth Southern

6. Beryl Forbes, Joan Stothard, Betty Weir, Marj Bostleman (Scout), Jo Cook, Ruth Williamson

The photographs were removed from an album where they were adhered to the cardboard backing pages. The album contained several sets of photographs believed to have been taken by Geoff Holmes, MGGC President in 1976-77.
