CLUBHOUSE REDEVELOPMENT 2000 RECORD FILES

In the year 2000, the MGGC clubhouse was redeveloped. The redevelopment essentially involved building a new clubhouse over the top of the existing structure. Financially, this was the largest project the club had undertaken since its formation with costings in the order of $3 million dollars.

A Building Committee was established to manage the project under the direction of the club's Board of Management.

The records of the project are maintained in four 75mm, two ring A4 sized files. These files are registered in the archive but the contents have not been digitally captured.

Whilst the actual building work occurred in 2000, the records in the files show that research and preparation commenced well before this with the earliest documentation dated late 1998 and the latest in the middle of 2001.
