Black and White Wedding Photograph of William John BEER and Alice Jean BOYLAN

1926
Overview

A matt black and white photograph showing William BEER and Alice BOYLAN following their marriage. William is dressed in a dark three-piece suit with a wing-tipped white shirt and dark shoes. He is holding a white glove in his right-hand and wearing one on his left hand. He has a chain on his waistcoat and a white buttonhole. Alice is wearing a short sleeved three-quarter length white dress with a lace skull cap and veil. She wears light-coloured shoes and is holding a bouquet of flowers. The picture is taken in front of a curved stone staircase.
The photograph appears to have been cut down as both vertical edges are uneven, and the bottom 6mm has a horizontal crease where it appears to have been turned over at some point. The back of the photograph shows remnants of glue perhaps from an album.
