Inscriptions and markings

Embossed around the base of the tine is "CAPSTAN NAVY CUT TOBACCO" and in the centre is "MILD".

Embossed around the top of the lid is "W.D. & H.O. WILLS" and around the bottom is "AUSTRALIA Ltd SYDNEY"

In the centre of the lid is a eight pointed star, above the star embossed is "TRADE" and below is "MARK".
