Infant's cot
c. 1890Made of tubular metal painted cream, 4 brass balls mounted on upper corners, front section able to slide up and down, wire mesh mattress base.
The cot was used by Maude Ahearn at Bridge Cottage, Central Greenough. Her first child, Dorothea was born in 1916 and her last child, Raymond Hubert in 1931.
The cot was then used by her daughter Joan following her marriage to William Lynch. The couple had 10 children and lived at Tardun.
The cot remained in with the Lynch family until being donated to this museum in 2023.

The cot is a good example of the type of furniture used for infants at Greenough in the early 1900s.
