The Golden Sheaf Hotel was built at Greenough for J.S. Maley and opened in 1883. Never a successful business it was delicensed in 1903, and then used by the Armstrong family as tea-rooms. The building was demolished in 1922.
The Methodist Church at Georgina was consecrated in 1904, but by the 1960s was no longer in use.
The McDermotts and Stokes were long established families at Greenough, whilst the Armstrongs moved to Greenough in 1908.

Text on card: Mr. & Mrs. F.G. Armstrong request the pleasure of the company of Miss E. McDermott to witness the marriage of their daughter Hilda Laura to Mr. Frederick Stokes, on Wednesday 24th January, 1912, at 4.30 p.m., at the Methodist Church, Georgina, and afterwards at The Golden Sheaf, Greenough.
