Overview

White elongated pentagon, with yellow cloth fringe across the pointed bottom. In the top left corner is the cog shaped Rotary International logo with a yellow background that is radiating out like sun rays. In the middle of the pennant is an illustration of a red timber building with a pitched roof and a clock tower with a weather vein atop it. Yellow mountains and white clouds in the background. In the clouds and to the right of the clock tower is blue text ["IN THE VALLEY / OF GENTLE / SEASONS" / CHARTERED / APRIL 26, 1954]. Yellow text under the building [NOVATO / CALIFORNIA / U.S.A.]
Top of the pennant folded over a rod and sewn in place. Cone shaped wood caps on ends of rod. Yellow cord tied off at each end of the rod.

Historical information

It was tradition for when Rotary Clubs met they exchanged their club banners. This banner was exchanged from the Rotary Club of Novato California in the USA. They were displayed by the Armadale Neerigen Rotary Club.
