MILES ELIZABETH GALLOP CYCLONE
c. 1880B/W print of a sepia studio portrait of a young girl. She is wearing a dark frock trimmed with white braid, bows and edging, white stockings and dark boots. Her hair is pulled back from her face, caught with a bow and falls over her shoulder in tight ringlets. She is standing in front of a deep-buttoned chair and her left arm rests beside a floral arrangement on a table covered in a long cloth.
Daughter of Sarah Gallop and William Warden Miles. Sarah was born near Roeborne during a cyclone in 1871. Known to family as 'Aunty Ci'.
Married A R Keesing and had two children Sylvia (Married Mr Francis) and Ross. Original photos were in a family bible on loan to the Museum.
