FORREST FAMILY MEMBERS AT 83 BAY VIEW TERRACE
c. 1910B/W Print. Three women in ankle length skirts and long-sleeved white blouses are standing with their backs to a large palm. Lily Forrest is on the left. The other two are wearing broad-brimmed hats. A small girl in a dark dress and white pinafore is sitting on a tricycle beside the group and a slightly older girl in light frock is standing in the centre of the drive - one is Pauline McClemans. On the right a steep gable and veranda of the side of the house is visible. The garden is well developed and there is a large Tuart in the background.
83 Bay View Terrace was built in 1902, by Mr. George Temple Poole. The house was home of David Forrest and family until 1942. Called Minderoo, which was also the name of their sheep station in the north west. By the 1950s the 12 room house on one & a quarter acres had been divided into two flats. The property, including a small brick dwelling on the same lot, was put up for auction in 1951
