PROJECTOR, LANTERN SLIDE - MAGIC LANTERN

Overview

A black metal box on four protruding brass coloured legs, with a door one side to get access to a small lamp with a glass chimney that made the light for the magic lantern to show the slides. At one end of the box is an adjustable lens to focus the picture, opposite the lens inside the box is a circular disc presumably to reflect the light from the lamp towards the slides.On top of the box is a tube like chimney for extracting the heat .

Historical information

Believed to have been used locally in the Fullers Roleystone family home in the late 1930s and 1940s.
