BOWL: EDWARD VIII CORONATION, 1937

1937
Overview

Cream coloured dish, square shaped with rounded corners and a wavy gilt-edged rim. Deep enough to hold sweets or dessert. Picture of H.M. Edward VIII in uniform in an oval frame flanked by British flags, surmounted by a crown and a scroll reading 'May 12th Coronation 1937'. On opposite side is a blue shield with the letters E VIII R surrounded by an olive wreath and surmounted by a crown. Manufactured by and & G. Meakin, England, whose trademark rising sun and REGP SOL 391413 appears on base of dish. This is part of the Sunshine series Reg. 5610073.
