b. On front "MIDDLETON BEACH, ALBANY, W.A." with "CORRESPONDENCE. / Date 15th 1916 / Dear Mother / Just a few lines hope you are / quite well as this leaves me the same. / Are now doing my bit for my country / Are on His Majesty Troopship No 44 / Cannot write much on account of / the census." written on back in black ink.
