POSTCARD: ERN CONGDON IN WORLD WAR I ARMY UNIFORM
c. 1918The photograph shows the head and shoulders of Ern Congdon dressed in World War 1 Army uniform. Mr Congdon was a son of Edwin Congdon who lived in Jersey Street, Jolimont in about 1900-1910. He later moved to Shenton Park. He drove a taxi in Subiaco (legend has it, the first) and then had a service station on the corner of Onslow and Herbert Roads, Shenton Park. This is still in the family and is run by his grandson, Geoff Congdon (as at August 1988) - no longer in existence.
Revere: Ern Congdon
One of a number of photographs of the Congdon family.
