A black and white photograph with a view of the Garden Tearooms display windows with two ladies and a small child standing at the entrance on the front footpath. There are two display windows with an entrance between them. Above the awning on the front of the verandah are the words 'Refreshment Room'. Part of the house with a trellis fence is visible on the right. Rokeby Road with tram tracks is shown in the lower half of the photograph. The shadow of a man's head and shoulders shows at bottom left.
