Historical information

The original Armadale Revellers were formed in the late 1920s by Bernie Hastie to help raise money for relief organisations during the Great Depression. They continued on during WWII raising money for organisations like the Red Cross. A second group of entertainers revived the Armadale Revellers after WWII and continued to do charity concerts. Local singer, Lillian Turner (later Geddes) was sufficiently popular to perform on ABC radio programs.
