This receipt and the associated flyer (COA2013.22) are from a concert held by The Armadale Revellers at the Armadale District Hall on the 12th of August 1940 to raise funds for the Red Cross Society during WWII. The Armadale Revellers formed during the Great Depression as a group of amateur performers who put on concerts to help raise money for social relief programs.
