Sir Harry Barron replaced Sir Gerald Strickland at the start of autumn in 1913 and only governed for three years. Towards the end of WW1, he was embroiled in controversy when there was a call for the dissolving of Parliament. Lady Barron was an avid gardener and took a strong interest in the Government House gardens. They had one daughter.
