The booklet forms a programme issued by the Armadale Choral Society to announce a grand concert to be held in the Masonic Hall Armadale on Thursday, July 7th,1938 at 8pm.

Text on front cover reads: [The Armadale Choral / Society / GRAND / CONCERT /to be held in the / MASONIC HALL / ARMADALE / on / Thursday, July 7th, / 1938 at 8 p.m. / Chairman: Mr. R. S. Sampson, M.L.A. / Mr. H. A. Beard, Conductor. / Pianist, Mrs. K. Saunders. ]

The inside pages contain details of the pieces to be performed at the concert, divided into parts one and two with a two minute interval in-between, and refreshments to be served at the conclusion of proceedings.

Historical information

The Armadale Choral Society formed in 1932 and were regular participants in the South Suburban Musical and Elocution Societys Musical Festival.
