Rough pine box nailed together with primitive hinges holding the lid.
No catch on the lid.
On the front and inside the lid paper labels have been affixed. This has nearly worn off on front of box but better condition inside.
Text on labels includes name of product "Hudson's Soap" as well as a logo with the slogan "For the people".

Hudson's Soap was founded in 1837 at West Bromwich, UK by Robert Spears Hudson (1812-1884) and taken over by Lever Bros 1935.
