MARY GREEN
B&W portrait Mrs Sam Green, Daughter in law of Dr Green.
She was Mary Whitfield of "Wicklow Hills" Toodyay.
Her dress has pleated bodice (4) to neck,, ace collar with a bow beneath.
The sleeves are of the leg of mutton variety over which she is wearing around her shoulders a wide lace shawl tucked in at waistline.
Mary Green (nee Whitfield) was born 17 Nov 1850 and died 9 May 1930. She was the daughter of Francis (II) and Elizabeth Whitfield, and the granddaughter of Captain Francis Whitfield. In 1874 she married Samuel James Green, who was the son of Dr. Alfred and Ann Green. The marriage resulted in six children.
