MICROPHONE
Black with a metal top fifth cylindrical body. Top metal part has vertical slits around its side. On the top end is a flat black perforated disk. Silver label under metal top with black text and makers mark. The body tapers in at the bottom and forms a round flat base. Out of the base is a plastic coated cord that ends with a cylindrical metal plug.
When the COA took over the management of the Armadale Arena in 2008 this portable PA system was found in a cupboard. It had been used by the previous management group to sound emergency alarms for evacuations and to instruct patrons on how to evacuate.
When the City took over the building they installed a emergency evacuation system.
