Overview

Fine example of split combinations with insertions of machine made lace emulating Valencienne lace.
Concealed button placket opening to front bodice with three mother of pearl buttons. Triangular insertion of Valencienne lace (25m deep) over the bust. Deep insertion at neckline; two rows of Valencienne lace and zig-zag band (6mm deep) from centre front to underarm, followed by another row of Valencienne lace and zig-zag band from centre front which continue over the shoulders and around to back neckline. Armhole and neckline edged with scalloped Valencienne lace (22 mm deep).
Insertion of broderie anglaise (32mm deep) at waistline. Bellow waistband are split drawers. Two rows of Valencienne lace and zig-zag band are inserted at lower leg and edged with scalloped Valencienne lace.
French seams on bodice underarm. Welt seam on inside leg.
