Gun was captured by the 10th Light Horse in World War I in the town of Asault in Palestine.
This digital copy of a photograph of a Maxim machine gun was taken by Denzil Roy Fletcher during World War One when he served with the 10th Light Horse. The photo represents what a working Maxim machine gun looks like. Denzil was the local police officer in the 1940s and made the community his and his families home for many years.
