A black and white photograph showing players on the field and the whole oval enclosure packed with spectators. Aerial photo taken on the occasion of the Cup final in 1949. The old home of the Subiaco municipal gardener is still there at upper centre. (The house was later demolished to extend the oval.) Adjoining streets with parked cars and houses can be seen in upper left and lower right of the photograph. Two grandstands and the entrance gate feature prominently.
