POSTCARD: SUBIACO WAR MEMORIAL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
1923Image: Black and white photographs of Subiaco War Memorial nearing completion. The first timbers of the spire have been put up, and two men are standing at the top waving their hats. Another workman is looking through the aperture where the clock would be placed. The whole tower is still clad in scaffolding. The name and address of the photographer are stamped on the reverse and the builder, F.E. Sedgley's as well.
Reverse: Handwritten in ink on the reverse side: 'Subiaco Soldiers Memorial. Putting up the first timbers of the spire'. The name and address of the photographer are stamped on the reverse and the builder, F.E. Sedgley's as well.'
This photograph was taken on the same occasion as P91_9, i.e. towards the end of 1923, since the Memorial was unveiled on 25 November 1923.
