On the engine of the train appear to be the officials and there are seven carriages behind the train. The men are dressed are suits and the women in long skirts, blouses and wearing hats. The photograph is mounted on dark green cardboard.

On a label below the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "OPENING OF NYABING RAILWAY LINE BY J.C. WARREN 17-4-1912".
Below the photograph and stamped in black ink is "M.C. BILTOFF, Ideal Studio, Katanning, W.A."
On the back of the photograph handwritten in black ink is "Opening Nyabing Railway line 1922" and below this date in pencil is "1912".
